BE A TOURIST IN YOUR OWN COUNTY!

WE HEADED SOUTH
Mid-America Bank and the
Osage County Agritourism Council invited people to join the Council for a day
as a “Tourist
in Your Own County.” They explored
unique and unusual places in the southern part of Osage County.
The itinerary included:
— Tour
of Diamond Dog Food Plant, Meta
— Historic
Rural Churches
— Tour
of an Osage River estate, Folk
— Visit
to Hilkemeyer General Store, Freeburg
— Some
Surprise stops!!!
Cost for the entire day was $18.00 per person and included
transportation by Show-Me America Coaches, guides, and lunch.

County tour in May 2005 was featured on KOMU evening news. The council
received positive feedback from both people on the tour and county businesses.

ZEWICKI HOUSE MUSEUM AND LIBRARY
The Osage County Historical Society museum facility is open for tours and research:

Wednesdays
and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to noon
- Sundays 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
HOLY FAMILY QUILTING CLUB
When: Thursday afternoons and evenings. During January, February, and
March on Tuesday afternoons also.

St. Ann's Quilting Club
When: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Sacred Heart School basement; Highway U, Rich Fountain; take
Highway 63 south from Westphalis, turn left on Highway E; in Rich Fountain,
turn left on Highway U; school is at the top of the hill, on the left.

County Agritourism Council invite you to join us for a day as
a "Tourist in your own County." Itinerary will
include:

— Optional new Acitivity Center, Linn State Technical
College
Plan to meet the coach at 8 a.m.; bus leaves promptly at 8:30
