2nd Annual PhotographY Contest
OSAGE COUNTY 2004

REVIEW WINNING PHOTOS

2004 RULES WERE:


1. Photographs should be taken in Osage County -- topics unique to Osage County are preferred. We are looking in particular for pictures of people and interesting activity. Photos should be of CURRENT scenes and events.


2. Photographers should be residents of Osage County. THEY NEED NOT BE MEMBERS OF THE OSAGE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY (OCHS) OR THE AGRITOURISM COUNCIL.


3. Photographs may be of any size, in color or black and white. Mount them on a sheet of sturdy paper no smaller than 8 1/2" by 11".


4. Each entry must be accompanied by a story - not to exceed one typed page - documenting the meaning of the image for the Osage County community.


5. Entries will be judged by an impartial jury of four experts. Results will be announced at the OCHS quarterly meeting on August 23, 2004.


6. Prizes will be awarded in the following amounts: first prize $100; second prize $50; four honorable mention prizes of $25 each. This contest is funded by Linn state Bank.


7. Photographs will not be returned. They will become the property of the Osage County Historical Society. PLEASE KEEP A COPY OR NEGATIVE FOR YOUR RECORDS.


8. ENTRIES DUE IN THE OCHS OFFICE BY AUGUST 1, 2004. Bring them by the Zewicki House at 402 Main Street in Linn, or mail to P.O. Box 402, Linn, MO 65051.


9. PLEASE ATTACH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO YOUR ENTRY:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Subject and location of photograph
  • And story (see number 4)

Please do not write your name directly on the photograph, either front or back.
